Grad School: A Whole New Different Ball Game

Next week, I will embark on a new journey as a grad school student taking Master of Arts in Nursing in Centro Escolar University Manila to which I assume will get me to academe to teach in a reputable nursing school. I'm excited to meet new acquaitances and experience a whole new ball game in my career. I am just thankful for my parents for the full support in reaching my full potential...I'm a little agnostic but I am grateful to God for all the blessings since then...I'm really just excited. To God be the Glory!

Plethora of People. Great Memories.

Look how time flies when you are having fun...
guess what?!?

I've been working in Red Cross for 4 months now...

I've met a plethora of people ranging from all different status, creed and gender...but all in all we all have a blast, week after week...

I never thought I could teach people such as lawyers, nurses, security personnel, drivers, life guards, engineers so forth and so on...

Just priceless!

ZOOOOOM ZOOOOOM!!!

Am I just dreaming?!?
Since Mazda 3 have been ubiquitous on the busy street of Manila I can't help but DROOL on how fine and pimp that car is...I didn't even bother to think that I could have one considering I'm a fresh grad with little or no compensation from my volunteer work from Red Cross as an instructor...

But guess what?!?

My very generous folks thought of giving me a car in lieu of the sleek Apple Macbook Pro...

and

BEHOLD
My very first car!

RED CROSS

It is in Red Cross that I started my nursing career as a volunteer. The decision to start my career in a humble institution lies in the commitment to serve the people and the individuals who work for them. It is an admirable trait that I guess jump me off to join the bandwagon...Indeed, it was a great decision because I am learning a lot as well as enjoying the company of great folks who treat each other as family...The camaraderie among the members are commendable...So, I'm here to stay

Nicole: From a rape victim to living an AMERICAN DREAM

"We believe that the Subic rape case is a landmark case for being the first that has come to trial in our country against U.S. servicemen, and for its importance in challenging the implementation of the Anti-rape Law in the furtherance of women’s rights. The case of Nicole has brought to light not only the issue of violence against women but also just as important the nature of the Visiting Forces Agreement or VFA."

-Task force subic case (December 2006)

This is the statement release when Nicole triumphantly won the rape case against Smith, an american soldier...However, 4 years later the Philippine government transferred the american perpetrator to the american embassy bypassing Philippine sovereinghty and laws...mocking the the Filipino justice system...Mocking the Philippines in general...As the events unfolds, Nicole apparently had been given a big sum of cash and free pass to live in the states in return of changing the story...as for Nicole she is LIVING THE AMERICAN DREAM...Sad!

Ice, ice baby!

Before my good friend Natalia went to Rome, she invited me to go ice skating with her friends...I would say it was a fun experience but not as easy as it may seem...I'm never really a sporty person...To be honest I dont have a sport at all!!!...although I play badminton once in awhile when my tito's family were still here in the country...I was beyond ecstatic! I was waiting to try ice skating for soooo looooooonnng...I fell once, but thats part of it...and I get to meet new acquaintances...
P.S. Actually, all of them tried this before when they were still a kid...but we are like all newbies...LOL

Jumpstart your career!

JobSEEKers needed some boost and refinement especially for newbies like me...I've learn a lot from the 12 hour two-days workshop in Makati...Our mentor, Mr. Julius Robles was very motivating and animated...The good thing about our seminar is that not only we learn tons of things but at the same time we had a BLAST! Kudos to LDS Employment Center and the NGO that help the organization run to help and welcome everyone...
